A VERY PRIVATE GRAVE, The Monastery Murders #1

By Donna Fletcher Crow

Description:

Felicity Howard, a young American studying at a theological college in a monastery in Yorkshire, is devastated when she finds her beloved Fr. Dominic bludgeoned to death and Fr. Antony, her church history lecturer, soaked in his blood.
this is a contemporary novel with a thoroughly modern heroine who must learn some ancient truths in order to solve the mystery and save her own life as she and Fr. Antony flee a murderer and follow clues that take them to ancient holy sites across northern England and Scotland. The story mixes detection, intellectual puzzles, spiritual aspiration, romance and the solving of clues ancient and modern.

Book Takeaway:

Christianity is as valid for today as it has always been. Living a holy life is the key to true happiness.

Why the author wrote this book:

I have always wanted to tell the story of St. Cuthbert because believe the stories of ancient men and women who lived lives of great holiness can be important models for our own lives and i believe we are in great danger of losing much of our spiritual heritage.
