Graham and Dana settled into wedded bliss. But not for long.Though Dana had many reservations about how daily life with Graham would work out, she was thrilled and delighted to discover it was much better than she'd hoped for.'Good morning, darling.' Dana muzzled close to her handsome new hubby. It gave her an incredible high just being in close proximity to him. She gave him a peck on his cheek.
In seconds, Graham's lips were on hers. Passion engulfed them as they soared to new and glorious ecstasies. When they finally came up for air, Dana bounced out of their luxurious bed and slipped into her lavender silk robe, tying it at the wait. She began humming a tune, soon bursting forth into song.
"If ever I should leave you, it wouldn't be in winter, for seeing you in winter, I never would go...your hair soft as sunlight, your lips right as rain..."
Graham joined her in song as they harmonized, dancing around the room together as though they were rehearsing for a musical. He twirled her around the room, despite being clad in his white, terry robe.
Dana's spirit soared to new and glorious heights; heights she never could have imagined."So this is love!" She flashed him a big smile. "Do you want to know something totally amazing?
'You have to ask/'
"Well, God...I guess I would have to say the Holy Spirit...has been pouring out incredible songs of praise and worship to me...I mean just raining them down on me...I could be riding one of the thoroughbreds...when suddenly this supernatural anointing falls over me...and I burst into song...the music and lyrics just rain down from heaven! I mean...I can't tell you how incredible that is!'
'i hope you've recorded it. Though since you weren't expecting it...maybe you didn't."
"I didn't. I need to get a tape recorder and keep it with me..." She smiled over at him. "I think God wants me to get back to singing.'
'Back to singing? I didn't even know you were a singer!"
'Well, not for long. It was while I was in college. I didn't know what I wanted to do...except that I knew it wouldn't be conventional. I wanted a back-up to horse training...in case for some reason that didn't fly..."
Graham chuckled. 'I think God has a divine sense of humor...because we both know the arts are anything but predicable...' He moved toward her taking her in his arms.'Dana, oh Dana, I can't keep my eyes off you...and I can't keep my hands off you..."
'You don't have to, darling.' She moved closer to him, whispering in his ear. They slid back under the covers. It was dusk when they finally awakened to the sound of pounding on their door. They could hear the muffled sounds of Will and Jay through their locked bedroom door.
Graham leaped to his feet, pulled on his robe and moved closer to the door. talking through it. 'We'll be out soon. Soon as you make us a pot of coffee.'
"Sure, Dad." Their youthful voiced harmonized.
