Christmas at Whispering Pines Lodge

By Nancy J. Farrier

Description:

Kelly Madison is trying to keep her life together. The first man she ever loved broke up with her, and now she’s been forced to quit her job. She has no one and no options but to consider returning to the life she hated—being a high-priced call girl with an exclusive clientele. Before surrendering to that horrific option, she returns to Driftwood Cove and the only people who ever treated her with respect, almost as if they cared about her despite all she’d done wrong.

Neil Ricker, an FBI Special Agent, is in love with Kelly. He broke off their relationship after he renewed his Christian faith and they were at odds in their beliefs. He has to give God space to work in Kelly’s heart and give her the time to choose.

When Neil finds out Kelly is desperate for a job, he takes her to his parents’ lodge in the mountains, to fill a position in the offices. Kelly is afraid his family won’t accept her when they find out about her past, and people always find out.

Kelly loves her work and Neil’s family but struggles with her self-worth in the face of his family’s goodness. Neil is struggling to be around Kelly and not rekindle their relationship. When Neil and Kelly run into one of her former clients in town, the man threatens to ruin all she’s come to love about life with Neil’s family and this small community. How will Kelly be able to overcome all her doubts about her background? Will Neil’s family still care for her when they find out about her past? Can Neil’s love hold true through it all to give them a second chance?
