Preston Shires

Author Bio:

Preston Shires grew up on an orange grove in California. In college, he studied medieval history at the University of Bordeaux, where he met his future wife. Sylvie and Preston married in France and lived there some five years, working with the Protestant church of Matha, before moving to Nebraska to farm. Earning his Phd in history at the University of Nebraska, Preston continued to farm but also taught and wrote. After Baylor University Press published his history of the Religious Right, Preston began writing historical fiction. Preston now teaches at a community college, and he and Sylvie still live on the family farm where they raised their four children.
