James S. Davis

Author Bio:

Born in the cold and stubborn Kennebec Valley in Maine, James S. Davis now lives in South Carolina with his wife and 8 children. He operates a sawmill and helps with all aspects of a small lumber company. Writing comes as first nature to him. He began trying to write a novel when he was seven years old. A lifetime fascination with tractors has led to his being sometimes known as "That Tractor Guy." Tractors, sawmills, and airplanes tend to find their way into almost every book he writes. He's in danger of beginning a new genre: Tractorpunk. What else do you expect from someone who not only thinks outside the box, but uses the box to start bonfires? When asked whether his politics are conservative or liberal, he asks, "Why are those my only options?" Above all, Jim Davis seeks to show others what he is learning about the Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. If anything he writes can point people to Jesus, it's worth it.
