The Dragon and the Starkburg

By Steiger G'nade, James S. Davis

Description:

In a cozy alpine kingdom, magic was forbidden and nearly forgotten for centuries. What happens when a disgruntled postal worker discovers a poorly-packaged ancient book of magical spells? Learning to become invisible, Zorbert kidnaps Princess Qalsanna for ransom. He demands that her father, King Gregor, cede the kingdom to him. The local fairy folk complicate the situation. Can a small band of loyal citizens locate the princess and overcome Zorbert and his dragon ally before it's too late?

Why the author wrote this book:

I wanted to write a high fantasy story, but always found it more fun to make people laugh than cry. Years ago the phrase "disgruntled postal worker" made the rounds in popular culture, and I decided to explore what kind of damage such a person could do in a magical fantasy setting. Around the same time, some of my main characters began to form in my thoughts and dreams and I had to start writing everything down.
