Kitty Stops Being Afraid

Kitty Kat lived with her family in the garage of the Kadiri family house in Ketu. Most days, Mr. Kadiri parked his car outside the garage in front of the house, so there was often plenty of room to play.


Kitty’s favourite member of the Kadiri household was ten-year-old Kate. Kate had a special bond with Kitty and liked to stroke her fur. Kate’s hands were soft and soothing. Her strokes made Kitty purr and giggle. Kitty liked Kate’s gentle play, strokes, and tickles.


Kitty Kat’s parents, Mr. & Mrs. Kat, lived in the garage too. They were not playful, like Kitty. They seemed to sleep all day except when they smelt some mice.
 
Kitty’s brother, Tabby, was the bold and courageous one. He didn’t care for tickles or strokes but loved to chase mice around.
