Dear Mom and Dad,

We have finally arrived with the cattle at Fort Robinson. The Indian agency and some ranchers are buying most of the herd. I'm glad we have this part of the drive over with as it's been a long way from Missouri to here following slow moving cows and calves.

Giles has paid me, and he and the rest of the crew have left. I have a chance to go to South Dakota with a cattleman named Winn who is driving a small bunch from this herd to his ranch. From there, I will go to Pierre, South Dakota, and if you need to contact me send a letter there.

My health has improved. Perhaps Doctor Regis was right when he said I had studied my brains out and needed some physical work.

Please tell Granddad for me that it will be later in the summer before I get back to Missouri and go into the ministry with him. Right now, I feel led to continue northward.

My love to both of you,
Your son, Carl John Crezner
