The Light Holding Her

By Chandra Lynn Smith

Description:

Julia Adkins is home from placing a service dog with its new owner. Now she plans to enjoy the end of autumn in the mountains of West Virginia. Two things threaten to upend her peaceful life as she settles back into her routine: she discovers the man she has loved since she was twelve is now her neighbor, and a client’s disgruntled ex is stalking and threatening her. Is her tiny house in the trees as safe as she thinks?

Ryan Bowers returns from years as a missionary in Russia to start a new job as chaplain at a local prison. The thrill of learning the owner of the treehouse beside his A-frame is the girl he never forgot is overshadowed by news that the prison is now home to his father—the same man who killed his mother. When Julia needs him the most, will he be forced to choose between work and the girl he’s always loved?

Is there hope for a renewal of their young relationship or will it be covered by darkness as the forest is covered in snow?

Book Takeaway:

No matter the circumstance or trial, the Light of God holding you is greaer than the darkness pulling at you.
