"But What About Rae?"

By Cheri Swan Pickslay

Description:

If God is so big and great, where is He? And why doesn’t He fix this mess?

Even though Rae’s parents have their issues, she never imagined they’d call it quits on their marriage. But they do. And manage to annihilate Rae’s already desolate spring break.

Not every freshman girl in the class of 1977 can boast she made the varsity tennis team. Plus, Rae’s grades are decent and she’s got the greatest best friend a girl could want. The cherry on top would be Jack notices her.
How could she ever predict that at lightning speed, her life would unravel, like a pulled string on her favorite old sweater?

We don’t cherish what we have . . . until it’s gone.

Book Takeaway:

Readers will find hope.

Why the author wrote this book:

When I was 14, my parents chose to end their 21-year-old marriage. I was devastated and searched for answers—at least a novel I could relate to. Kids today are still having their worlds rocked by parents splitting up and they're expected to just deal with it and move on. Kids/young adults need to know there's hope and they really can trust God.
