Why the author wrote this book:

Will he allow himself to ever love again . . . love his enemy? The Lord's Prayer may be the only thing that holds the answers to his sanity.

While writing Love's First Light I was struck with thanksgiving for the beginnings of our country - America. How different our revolution from that of France! In these times of great turmoil in our country, it gives me hope to look at the past, read stories like that of Christophe and Scarlett's and know that God will pull us through with the provisions He has set in place for each of us. My prayer is that Love's First Light will delight you with its love story, inspire you with its history and affirm the message of trust in God through all our trials
