Because he has seen what happened to his mother and father’s marriage as well as others, Steve Honeysuckle has vowed never to marry a non-Christian. When he realises his attraction to Jillian Davidson, he tries to avoid her but finds himself very involved in her life when her twin brother is injured by cattle thieves on their large outback property.

Since her older sister’s death and her brother Matthew’s new faith, Jillian, while being challenged about spiritual issues, is bitterly hurt by thinking the “religious” Steve considers her not good enough for him to love. Their different lifestyles also remain major hurdles. She loves the wide plains of the west while Steve loves his home in the mountains near Baragula.

As danger threatens, how will they be able to not only overcome murderous men with the help of an odd outback character and friends from Baragula, but find the spiritual differences between them are really obstacles that can be overcome?

Book Takeaway:

Readers who enjoy action, romance and suspense will enjoy this book. Hopefully they will also be challenged by the spiritual journeys of Steve and Jillian.

Why the author wrote this book:

When I wrote Book One, Return to Baragula, I never intended it to be the first of a series. But I became intrigued with the helicopter-flying-sister of the hero of that book. Then of course there was Matthew and Emily's friend, Steve, and Matthew's sister Jillian. They just begged to have their own story - and this time set on Matthew's old home, a cattle property in western New South Wales. Also, other Baragula characters like Steve's father and sister, Ben and Madeline Honeysuckle, Barbara and Ettie Cobby from Baragula kept coming up in my heart and imagination. And so those writer's 'what if' questions started pelting me for answers. So, there is now a third book being written! Ben and Barbara's relationship needs exploring in Justice at Baragula and of course there are other characters like the local policeman, Brad Hunter and Madeline. Don't miss Book Three, Justice at Baragula, the story of Brad and Maddie.
