A Most Noble Heir

By Susan Anne Mason

When stable hand Nolan Price learns from his dying mother that he is actually the son of the Earl of Stainsby, his plans for a future with kitchen maid, Hannah, are shattered. Once he is officially acknowledged as the earl’s heir, Nolan will be forbidden to marry beneath him. Unwilling to give up the girl he loves, he devises a plan to elope—believing that once their marriage is sanctioned by God, his father will be forced to accept their union. However, as Nolan struggles to learn the ways of the aristocracy, he finds himself caught between pleasing Hannah and living up to his father’s expectations—and failing miserably on both counts.

Abandoned as a child, Hannah Burnham has always felt unworthy of love. Nolan’s newly-discovered nobility brings all her insecurities crashing to the surface. She fears she will never fit into his new world, never be able to compete with the stunning women he is surrounded with, and never be strong enough to endure the earl’s opposition to their union. Yet if their relationship is to survive, she will need to dig deep for the courage to trust Nolan’s love and have faith in God’s plan for the future.
