Sibling Sabbatical

By Wendy E. Lund

Description:

The Compton kids were thrown into turmoil when they discover that parents, Jon and Jan Compton, are leaving for a full year sabbatical from Jon’s job. He is a Political Science college professor and will travel for a year to establish new updated material for his classes. Their four self centered adult children go into a tizzy at the prospect of having to take their time to keep track of the family home while Dad and Mom are gone. The childhood bickering between them escalated as family decisions needed to be made. Likewise, Jon and Jan were embarking on an adventure that took them around the world, a trip that would change their lives forever. Little did they know the politics in the Middle East could be so dangerous a threat. Their Sabbatical around the world changed them forever. Family turmoil takes a new twist in this story about the coming of age of sibling rivalry, and adventures around the world for Jon and Jan. A double story for both the siblings and the parents.

Book Takeaway:

Family youthful differences disappear as adults.

Why the author wrote this book:

There are many dynamics in large family environments. When God is in total charge of those environments, the differences work together and mesh into total harmony. This book shows when the parents leave for a year, the young adult children can work through their childhood differences and come together in love.
