CAPTIVE
Description:
A helpless woman is trapped in a life-threatening crisis with a lonely outcast.
As if Elise Farmington’s crumbling marriage hasn’t caused enough stress in her life, the devout Christian woman finds herself in a potentially deadly automobile accident with little chance of survival.
As if sent by God himself, David Stetson, also a Christian, happens by, putting his own safety at risk against a life-threatening blizzard to save her. He takes her to his home for shelter, administering treatment for exposure.
But when Elise groggily awakens in a trance-like state, she mistakenly believes she’s been kidnapped and attempts to kill her “captor” to escape.
With both now dazed and injured, Elise and David are locked in a stalemate, now each other’s captive, neither refusing to give in, until the worst evil of all threatens them both in a kill or be killed faceoff.
Book Takeaway:
Never be so stubborn as to totally discount another person's intentions. We can't read minds; only God can do that.

Why the author wrote this book:
I wrote this book to illustrate how two God-fearing, devoted Christians, even with good intentions, can get themselves entangled in life-altering situations, with faith ultimately triumphing in the end.
