Betsy Byars Duffey

Author Bio:

Betsy Duffey was into a writing family. Her father wrote engineering textbooks and magazine articles; her mother, Betsy Byars, was a distinguished children’s author. Her sister, Laurie Myers, is also an award-winning author of children’s books.

They grew up in Morgantown, WV. For over twenty years Betsy wrote over 25 children’s books. Four of the books were collaborations with her mother and sister.

When their mother retired, Laurie and Betsy formed The Writing Sisters to express their faith in their writing, and more directly use their talents for the glory of God. Their desire is for their fiction to show the power of God working in the world through Scripture.

Betsy and her husband live in Atlanta, GA and have two grown sons.
