Susan spent her career years writing pre-sentence reports for the courts. Now retired, she is happily indulging her vivid imagination and love of spiritual exploration in writing fiction, especially fantasy along the lines of C.S. Lewis' and J.R.R. Tolkien's classics.

Susan and her husband Jim (a retired parole agent now become Anglican priest) live in Napa, California. They have one grown daughter and one very fat and bossy tortoiseshell cat.
