Keitha Parton is an avid reader, hopeful writer, and a first-time author of her new novel, Love's Battlefield. The reason she lives and breathes is to spend quality time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and precious pets who keep her constantly entertained.

She was born and raised in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains of western North Carolina. Encircled by tons of family members and breathtaking scenery, it has fueled her passion for all things in the past. She had a wholesome, rural community and a God-fearing , upbringing to form her into the person she is today. She lovingly remembers lazing on the porch and watching lightening bugs dance in the dark while listening to her Papaw relay stories of times gone by. Hanging on every cherished worked, she stored old-time wisdom, humor, and nostalgia deep in her heart.

She was taught to love reading from an early childhood, as everyone in her family were devoted readers. Now, it is not uncommon to find her curled up with a Christian romance novel in her hand, one of her dogs snuggled nearby, and practicing the "it is the little things in life that matter most" philosophy.
