Carol Heilman lives in the mountains of NC with her husband of fifty-plus years. They have two married children and two grandsons who live on the east and west coasts. Carol grew up as a coal miner's daughter in Eastern Kentucky and began writing stories about her dad's Appalachian humor, which were published in magazines and newspapers. Her first novel, Agnes Hopper Shakes Up Sweetbriar, draws from both parent's sense of humor, as well as her mother's spunky spirit. She is revising book two in "the adventures of Agnes" series.
