Lanny Smith is a retired public high school teacher, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a former "Class B+" surfer. He lives in Jacksonville, Florida. Lanny's passion is writing Christian novels and screenplays. Lanny also works as a background artist in faith-based films.

Lanny's newest screenplay is for a short film called "Gene Therapy." This "dramedy" deals with issues faced by many married couples today, including the possibility of divorce. When a young pastor's wife leaves him because of a misunderstanding, she finds comfort from a stand-up comic at a local comedy club. Unknown to her, this comic is much more than a mere night club comedian --- and his counseling "advice" comes with a touch of the supernatural!

Lanny's debut novel is an explosive, Christian suspense-thriller called The Radical Ride. In The Radical Ride, an ambitious, television anchorwoman pursues a dangerous radical with supernatural connections.
