Book Takeaway:

Trust in God no matter the circumstance and you won't be disappointed.

Why the author wrote this book:

I grew up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, which is rich in history, much of it related to the aftermath of the Great Chicago Fire when many of the wealthy industrialists and bankers came to the lake to build magnificent home for their families to stay in while the city was being rebuilt. Others soon followed and the shoreline became filled with these homes. Many have either been destroyed by fire or the wrecking ball, replaced by equally magnificent homes that are nice but lack the connection to history their predecessors had. My desire is that my story, and others to follow, will help continue the legacy of the Geneva Lake area and spark more interest in it's history.
