"The Heart's Harbor" in A Door County Christmas
Description:
The Heart’s Harbor by Cynthia Ruchti
Amanda Brooks retreats to picturesque Egg Harbor in Door County, Wisconsin, to escape an empty holiday season in her Chicago apartment. Peace on earth is what she needs but instead finds herself in charge of the legendary Christmas Tea at the Heart’s Harbor Victorian Inn. Dealing with its quirky guests, bare-bones budget, antisocial puppy, matchmaking owner, and her match-resistant son, Jordan, deepens her doubts that Christmas and love have anything in common.
Book Takeaway:
Sometimes healing comes through serving, and love is born from serving with someone in the same direction.

Why the author wrote this book:
The Door County Peninsula--the "thumb" of Wisconsin's "mitten"--lends itself so well to romance. Each of the four authors in this project set our story in one of four charming villages in this artistic, creative, nature-rich, Cape Cod-like area of the Great Lakes area. My own heart connections with Door County run deep. It was a joyride to imagine what might bloom in the winter if given the opportunity.

Reviews
"Mayhem and humor set the stage through a matchmaking inn owner abandoning a legendary community tea to her handsome bachelor son and an unsuspecting guest. Fast-paced, page-turning and fun."
