Why the author wrote this book:

After meeting Liz in a previous book, I wanted to explore why she had walked away from her childhood faith and what it would take to bring her back. Once I realized she'd been burned by religion's "rules" before, I knew she needed someone to teach her to focus on God's love instead. And if that someone happened to awaken her heart to romance and reignite her passion for photography along the way, all the better for a rich, multi-layered story.
