Why the author wrote this book:Partly I wrote the book as a tribute to the jazz history of the city where I now live (Tulsa). I'd also become interested in "framed" stories where history and current day circumstances dovetailed. I chose the unlikely friendship between two women and wove their stories together to show redemption and the power of God's grace through providence, that God brings people together not by accident, but to benefit one another. |
