I am a single mom, a writer of Christian fantasy/sci-fi, a drinker of coffee and an avid reader.

I've always been a fan of sci-fi and fantasy but not a fan of the profanity and promiscuity that everyone seems to think will make their book better or more popular.

There is a growing trend of "clean" novels gaining in popularity among young adults and I've noticed more than a few adults buying the books as well. Those books typically are not filled with the strong language or adult type relationships that we find among most mainstream novels aimed at adults.

I believe the world could use more novels that allow the story, plot and characters to draw readers in - and that don't rely on cheap theatrics to hold a person's attention.
