The Brueggen StonesBy Sarah Glover ByrdDescription:
Lynn's an in-between. Not a child, not an adult--even if she does have a job in a department store. In fact, her life isn't interesting at all. . .until the day she trips and bumps her head on a Chicago sidewalk. Book Takeaway:I want readers to identify with characters who aren't superheroes or even super-spiritual. They have faults and weaknesses that need correcting; they are also likeable, often funny people, who need to depend on Keshua more than they realize. I would also like readers to have a new appreciation of trust and an expanded awe of what might be out there in Christ's kingdom. Why the author wrote this book:I wrote The Brueggen Stones because I wanted there to be more fun fantasy with a Christian worldview. This is the kind of story I have always enjoyed reading, and I wanted to give it to other people as my way of obeying the command to love one another. |
