Courage. I had just gone through a terrible bought of covid and was hospitalized twice with it with severe issues. A friend sent me a clay bracelet with the word Courage stamped on it. I used this bracelet in the book only with a different background story for my heroine. We must all have the courage to face each day with the courage and strength the Lord gives us. My friend used the example from The Dawn Treader from the Narnia books when Aslan reminds Lucy in the tunnels to have courage. In my book, my heroine wears the bracelet her aunt gave her when her father died as reminder to have courage when life throws you a curve. You'll have to read the book to find out more.

Why the author wrote this book:

My publisher asked if I wanted to join of group of fifteen authors (including me) in a collection of romantic suspense novellas. I agreed I would. We attempted to reach US Today's bestsellers list. We were less than 200 books shy of making it.
