Why the author wrote this book:

I wrote this book because I've always been interested in the criminal justice system and began to wonder what would happen if a VERY strong Christian woman was wrongly accused and placed in jail. A few years ago, I worked as a counselor in a jail. I began to jot down notes about the general environment (smells, sounds, etc), thinking that one day I might write a book. Not too long after I started doodling notes, the characters formed in my mind and I just had to write their story. The characters are totally fictional and a product of my imagination, but the setting is as genuine as I can remember it.
