Why the author wrote this book:

A family friend once found a shell near her home in the Outer Banks that had a scripture written inside. The timing was profound, yet she never discovered how the shell found its way to her. After I lost my husband, I was reminded of my friend’s story, and The Shell Collector tale came to me. I found comfort in this story and its characters, and I can’t wait to share it with others.
