As a child, I lost my home and nearly my life to a tornado, I suffered PTSD for a long time, though I didn't know what it was until adulthood. Then, I heard a teacher discussing her PTSD after a tornado hit her school. PTSD in soldiers is often written about but I've rarely read about other trauma that causes the disorder so I decided to explore this, using my experiences and those common to others, in To Protect His Children.
