Blast from Her PastBy Katy EetenDescription:
After a disastrous failed engagement, Sydney Hampson is leaving her past—and her faith—behind to focus on her career instead. However, following through with her new, albeit misguided, resolution proves easier said than done when former classmate, and reformed bully, Grant Williams signs on with her company, and they must work closely together. Book Takeaway:Your past doesn't define you, and God can work all things together for good if you trust Him. We shouldn't be so quick to judge others, and we should seek to understand where someone is coming from before jumping to conclusions. Why the author wrote this book:I love the "forced proximity" trope, and I had a vision for two people who don't get along to be stranded in a car during a snowstorm, which precipitates honest conversation as they get to know who the other truly is. It's also set in corporate America, which I am quite familiar with, so I thought it would be a great way to share an uplifting romantic tale. |
