HORSE THIEF CANYON

By Rhonda R. Eichman

Description:

Ellie is strong willed and determined, the two skills that made her what she is, a successful woman factory owner in Atlanta. Even though she has achieved financial independence, she finds herself searching for something more and takes a journey back home to the prairies of Kansas.
The prairie is dangerous after the Civil War with Indians and Quantrill’s men, so she hires two bodyguards. Thomas is a detective for the Pinkerton Detective Agency and exceptionally good at what he does, but Ellie is everything he ever dreamed of.
Will he give up a stellar career to follow Ellie back to Atlanta? He must convince her they could have a beautiful life together. Will she choose love or her business success?

Book Takeaway:

Strong people settled the wild west and frontier based on principles of their faith.

Why the author wrote this book:

The frontier was settled by hard working, faithful people who used all their strength and resources to tame the new land of America. The books in this series show the reader what life was really like in the 1800's with fictional characters placed in real places like Kansas City, Missouri, and Mud Creek, which later became Abilene, Kansas. Each character faces his or her own trials and some lean on faith to make it through while some do not. All books in the series are good, clean Christian reads.
