Why the author wrote this book:

I awoke in the middle of the night with the opening lines fresh in my mind. Immediately, the story began to take shape in the form of a journal, which I wrote by hand in a notebook and eventually transcribed after it was mostly complete. I knew God had (has!) a purpose for it then, and a few months later, I felt Him press upon my spirit to offer it for free as a tithe of my pages for His glory.
