Flower Power Fatality

By Sally Carpenter

Description:

Book 1 in the Psychedelic Spy mystery series
A retro-cozy spy caper set in 1967, a year of music, miniskirts--and murder! Across Noelle McNabb works at the Country Christmas Family Fun Park in Yuletide, Indiana, but she longs for the bight lights of Hollywood. But she encounters real-life drama when a stranger with a fatal gunshot wound stumbles across her doorstep. In an attempt to find the man's murderer, Noelle encounters a super-secret spy agency, SIAMESE. The actress is soon on a quest to go undercover and find missing microdots under the guidance of street-wise SIAMESE agent Destiny King--and she uncovers family secrets on the journey.

Book Takeaway:

An entertaining look at how the political and cultural turmoil of the 1960s affected small town life in America.

Why the author wrote this book:

I love spy caper movies and TV shows, but most spy books are full of violence, sex and language. I wanted to write a clean read that had all the fun elements of spyycraft but was rated G. Also, I have read too many mystery stories that portray persons of faith in a negative way. I made my protagonist a faithful Christian to give religious persons a positive spin.
