Since the disappearance of her first husband two years before, Pericope (puh-rik-o-pee) has sought answers as to why her life has taken such a downturn of misfortune. After being captured for committing adultery, she is brought to Jesus at the temple by the Jewish religious leaders (See John 8:2-11, Pericope de Adultera). This miraculous meeting with the Messiah turns her life upside-down. Coupling that with a series of adventurous occurrences that ensue in this story, Pericope has influenced millions of lives in the past two-thousand years, and will continue to do so in the future.

Readers will find hope in Pericope’s story. Forgiveness can be achieved if one accepts their past and seeks God’s salvation. Readers will find themselves immersed in 1st century Israel.

Why the author wrote this book:

I wrote a research paper on the Pericope de Adultera in seminary and had been inspired to create a story about that character ever since. Giving her a name and a story, I hope to inspire others to follow Jesus and to “go and sin no more.”
