Why the author wrote this book:

Our daughter came up with this concept after a rough transition to junior high. She wanted girls to avoid the hurt she encountered. As she talked, a story began to form. I promised to write the story if she kept going with creating it. Hannah Arduini came up with a three book series, and You're Beautiful is the first of her stories.
