Chasing The Lights

By Deborah Lynne

James Cooper Parks, Coop to his friends and loved ones, is the editor of the school newspaper. The big news, unfortunately, hits too close to home as two of the three boys who have disappeared go to his school. This makes for good copy, but it's a little too personal as far as Coop is concerned.

The reporter in him won't let it go, and his best friend Bailee Reed tries to help him run down every lead. Can they get the story without getting too close? Will there be a happy ending?

FBI have been called in, but they haven't found the other boys who went missing in the same way in other states. Will they find the Louisiana boys? Or will Coop get the scoop and save the day?

Book Takeaway:

Teens should always be aware of their surroundings. And they should keep up with the goings on in their town. Mostly, I want kids, teenagers, to know they can be whatever they want to be if they just apply them self and never give up. Chase the dream, follow your heart, and be all you can be.

Why the author wrote this book:

One evening when I was taking my grandsons to church, Scotty saw two search lights panning the sky. He asked Granny (me) to go check it out. I refused, but after much talk about the lights and how he would go check it out, an idea planted my brain. I couldn't let it go, and I believe it's the first of a Cooper Parks series.
