THE DANDELION PATCH

By MaryAnn Diorio

Description:

When Yolanda Riggins discovers that the government plans to build a new highway through her beloved dandelion patch, she rises up in protest and asserts her God-given right to private ownership of property. Will she succeed against all odds to save her dandelion patch? Will tact, truth, and tough love win the day for Yolanda and the children who love her? Read this delightful book to find out!

Book Takeaway:

The right to own property comes from God. Any attempt to violate that right constitutes theft. But there is a right way and a wrong way to stand up for one's rights. Yolanda Riggins shows us that asserting one's God-given rights can and must be done with love, truth, and grace.

Why the author wrote this book:

This book deals with the topic of Eminent Domain. As a child, I experienced a near government take-over of the home in which I lived because of plans for a new highway. I recall the anxiety I experienced and the sense of injustice at the government's seizure of our personal property. THE DANDELION PATCH grew out of this childhood experience.
