Gifted: A Basket Weaver's TaleBy Valerie BanfieldDescription:
When Alzheimer’s hijacked her father, disorder upended Connie’s world. When a stranger uses her as a pawn, danger lurks and chaos simmers. Book Takeaway:In the midst of trials, we can choose an honorable path, or an easy one. The choice will shape our present, our future, and our legacy. In the midst of loss, God stands ready to sustain us. Why the author wrote this book:This book, and the Honor Basket depicted on the book cover, came to me while my family walked through Alzheimer's disease with my father. The very nature of the disease creates, at times, a lonely journey. I gathered my thoughts in the story realm, where I could let a fictitious character capture some of the tender moments, along with heart-rending trials, and found it quieted my heart. |
