Why the author wrote this book:

I have struggled with bitterness in the past, and the Lord showed me the similarities between the dreaded disease of Leprosy and the spiritual disease of Bitterness. I also learned that Jesus Christ is the only one that can heal a heart of bitterness. I wanted to write a story that would portray both of these truths to the reader.
