Facing Justice

By Diane and David Munson

Description:

The first of Diane and David Munson's suspense novels draws on their true-life experiences as a former federal prosecutor and a former federal undercover agent. Special Agent Eva Montanna, whose twin sister died at the Pentagon on 9/11, is dedicated to avenge her sister's death while investigating Emile Jubayl, a member of Eva's church and CEO of Helpers International, who is accused of using his aid organization to funnel money to El Samoud, head of the Armed Revolutionary Cause and successor to Al Qaeda. Family relationships are tested in this fast-paced, true-to-life legal thriller about the men and women who are racing to defuse the ticking time bomb of international terrorism.

Book Takeaway:

Our goal in this novel is to give readers family friendly suspense along with a realistic glimpse of how the justice system works as well as revealing Christian law enforcement officers living out their faith on their jobs with those who do not share their faith.

Why the author wrote this book:

Our thrillers are called 'Factional Fiction' because each title is inspired by our actual cases that we've worked. We say that we take a real life case and wrap a a novel around it. 'Facing Justice' was inspired by one of David's cases where he and his Christian partner found themselves investigating a well known Christian organization for smuggling. As we wrote "Facing Justice" we were reminded of how each of our lives were forever changed by the events of 9/11. Readers will discover along with Special Agent Eva Montanna and her team how they must adjust to a new enemy and change their ways of confronting terrorism. Through her trials in pursuing a supposed Christian who attends her mega-church, Eva's faith in Jesus is tested, and in the end, she sees His hand of protection in ways she never did before.
