Why the author wrote this book:

Awakening is very loosely based on events with my husband, Jim, and is the story of my heart. It's my hope that readers will see the love of Christ through my characters--being human, they make mistakes--but when they fall, they pick themselves up and keep on going. It is a realistic portrayal of a man and a woman, both seeking to honor the Lord, falling deeply in love and working through issues together in order to form a lasting bond.
