Heléna’s Legacy

By Jo-Anne Berthelsen

Description:

Doctor Susan Curtis faces the birth of her first child alone, bitter at being rejected by her fiancé and family. She begins her own reluctant journey towards God, but it is not until she comes to know Heléna Hajek and to trust her that she is able even to consider forgiving those who let her down. Heléna desires to make a real difference in the lives of Susan’s whole family as well as that of her good friends Ben and Marie. But how can she best help them? And what lasting legacy can she leave behind for each of them?

Book Takeaway:

Hopefully the conviction that God can change people’s lives and bring about healing and forgiveness in even the most difficult situations - and also encouragement to believe that God uses ordinary people like us to do this and to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

Why the author wrote this book:

While writing my second novel ‘All the Days of My Life’, the sequel to ‘Heléna’, I became intrigued by one of the minor characters, Dr Susan Curtis, and decided I would like to find out a little more about her! ‘Heléna’s Legacy’ gave me the opportunity to do just that and also write a little more about my character Heléna in the process.
