Book Takeaway:

The greatest love is God's perfect love, a sacrificial love to save all of mankind who will accept it. He has also given this love to us for each other. I never felt it more strongly than when they were sticking IV's in my daughter's head and all the veins were collapsed in her tiny body, I would have done anything to take her place. It gave me an even deeper understanding of God's perfect love for me and I wanted to share this with the world through Highland Sanctuary.

Why the author wrote this book:

My daughter was born with a life-threatening seizure disorder that was very emotional for us. As I contemplated her seizure meds, the delayed development, the therapies and all the resources she has available to her, I began to think about what it would have been like without these resources and the support we have today. At the time, I was thinking about a sequel to my debut novel, Highland Blessings. This story stayed in my heart for over ten years and when it didn't leave me, I knew I had to write Serena Boyd's story. I wanted her name to be different, but similar to my daughter, Celina. I've dedicated this book to Celina and my heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician, the healer of my child. Celina no longer has seizures and she is medication-free!
