Why the author wrote this book:

This is book 2 in the Lake Manawa Summer Series. My father grew up in the area and as I researched it, I knew I had to tell a story of a place so rich in history. I wanted to write a story that was a fun read, but also presented deeper truths that women have faced throughout history.
