DreadKing

By David Joseph Liberto

Description:

A shadow falls over the land as Gossama, Stefan, and the enigmatic Cleric Joern are abducted to the FeyRealm, captives of the infamous DreadKing.

Pol must venture into the treacherous realm to save his friends, with Quig and others to guide him. As he confronts the malevolence of the dark fey and the inner barriers that threaten to derail his mission, Pol's resolve is tested at every turn.

In the twisted depths of the DreadKing’s Lair, where every corner hides danger and every choice could lead to ruin, Pol must navigate a web of evil and mystical forces.

Can Pol survive the DreadKing and save his friends, or will he fall victim to the dark powers that loom over the FeyRealm?

Book Takeaway:

DreadKing is about stepping up when others are counting on you. Pol must embrace his full potential and confront both external evil and his own internal struggles to save his friends, demonstrating that the ignorant can grow in wisdom, the fallen can choose to get back up, and we always have the ability to choose our actions even under the worst circumstances.
DreadKing reveals how the heroes commit to the path they have chosen, emphasizing that heroism isn't just about power or gifts; it's about the decisions we make when everything is on the line. The story also plays with the boundaries between good and evil through characters choosing their sides, reinforcing that virtue triumphs not through perfection, but through perseverance and the choice to keep fighting for what's right.

Why the author wrote this book:

Because at some point in our lives, we have to choose how our life will be oriented, for others or for ourselves. This was the most fun story for me to write so far. With action, humor, and characters who continue to grow, I hope others enjoy this rescue story as much as I did in writing it.
