Why the author wrote this book:
I wrote Written on My Heart to explore what it means to trust God’s timing when life doesn’t unfold the way we planned. I wanted to show how faith grows not in the easy moments, but in the ones where silence feels unbearable. Through Betsy’s story—a young schoolteacher torn between duty, faith, and love—I hoped to remind readers that God often works behind the scenes, even when His voice seems quiet. Writing this book was a lesson in surrender, both for Betsy and for me.
