Felling Fury

By F. D. Adkins

Description:

One can’t remember…

One wants to forget…

...But the monster who haunts their sleep is real.
Every September 15 for the last decade, a serial killer has swept into Sheradon County and claimed a victim, eluding law enforcement and leaving a town shaking in fear. As the anniversary of the attacks rapidly approaches, private investigator, Ray Mills, is sought by local authorities to help them find the killer before he strikes again. He is skeptical of their motives for hiring an outside investigator, but with a young woman’s life on the line, he goes against his personal misgivings and agrees to help. Racing against a seemingly impossible timeline, can Ray find the only person who can lead him to the killer, or will he lead the killer to her?

In an entangled labyrinth of vengeance, lies, and betrayal that extend farther than he could have ever imagined, Ray must battle his distrust of law enforcement, death threats, and a head-on collision with the skeletons from his past.

As Ray vows to protect the woman he is falling for, it may be Ray who is in danger. Will he allow his anger and resentment to destroy him, or will he heed God’s voice calling to him from the light of Sandy’s faith?

Book Takeaway:

Through the reactions of the various characters, the reader can see how the devil can use anger and bitterness to pull us away from our walk with God, and in the end, the harbored bitterness and anger only harm the person harboring it, not the person it is directed toward.

Why the author wrote this book:

My overall goal in my writing is to convey the hope and peace that comes from a relationship with Christ while giving the reader an escape from the struggles of life through an action-packed fictional story.
