Fellowship of the Frazzled MomsBy Stephanie Paige KingDescription:
Some say it takes a village to raise a child, but what if it only takes a cul-de-sac? Dana has spent fifteen years raising her children and is now lending a hand to her neighbor Josie, a new mom of triplets, who is drowning in diapers and self-doubt. Dana’s is a charmed—albeit loud and chaotic—life until she discovers her disoriented father on a peculiar neighborhood caper, and her husband is nowhere to be found when she needs his help. Now she must get to the bottom of her dad’s mental decline and solve the mystery of her husband’s sudden preoccupation with his career. Why the author wrote this book:Laughing with my friends about the hard parts of parenting got me through raising kids. Along the way, I saw several moms around me with that familiar hollow and exhausted look in their eyes that I had and began to wonder how life would change if the new sleep-deprived mom and the seasoned finder of lost things came together to create community. Maybe they would value in one another that they couldn't yet see in themselves. |
