La Elegida para Harley
Description:
Book Takeaway:
The importance of knowing and being who you are can only be overstated by Whose you are.
Why the author wrote this book:
I wrote this book because I’ve always had a passion for sharing Jesus, especially with those who speak a language other than my own. As the retired founder and director of an English as a Second Language (ESL) ministry, I had the privilege of interacting with hundreds of students eager to learn English. I quickly learned that sharing Jesus with them often meant using simple actions or words.
We made it our mission to provide every student with a Bible in their native language, but I realized that understanding and applying God’s Word to our daily lives becomes even more powerful when we see it lived out in a story. That’s why I wanted to create a book that brings Scripture to life, showing how faith can be woven into the fabric of our everyday experiences.
Recently, one of my former advanced-level ESL students, Katia, took on the task of translating A Bride for Harley into Spanish. This has allowed me to reach even more people with the message of God’s redeeming love, making it accessible to Spanish-speaking individuals who can benefit from reading Christian fiction and seeing Scripture in action.
